Buenos Aires, December 10 (NA) — A man was detained as part of four simultaneous raids carried out on Tuesday in the southern area of Buenos Aires. The operation aimed to dismantle training centers for illegal betting and gambling games.
According to the police report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the procedure was conducted under the framework of 'Rombo Sur' operation, led by prosecutor Juan Rozas. The investigation identified several points operating in violation of the current regulatory regime and evading official controls.
Rosas requested the search warrants, which were authorized by Judge Nicolás Repetto. The procedures were carried out by the Buenos Aires Police and the Judicial Investigation Corps, with technical support from the City Lottery.
During the operations, electronic devices used for managing bets, cash, documentation, and internal records considered of 'high relevance' to the case were seized.
The detainee is being investigated for alleged participation in the criminal structure, and his role will be analyzed based on the material confiscated.
